God is very serious about sin. This should be an obvious statement, but if you look at the church today, you'd never get that impression. Check out some of the things that just this one chapter in 1 Corinthians 10 warns against and then consider how serious God is about sin.
1 Corinthians 10 is a history of Israel and it's written to warn us. It's written to warn us to be very careful about sin. Today the church preachers rarely seem to preach on sin, especially the sins mentioned in this chapter.

Make sure whatever you do doesn't stumble another believer and do all things to the glory of God.
When you have gossip, homosexuality, celebrity worship, complaining, and evil being glorified in the church, you can know, God isn't happy. He doesn't approve of any of it.
He has left a way of escape, and the question is are you going to take it when you're tempted? We know from Israel's history that most didn't. Most engaged in the sin and as a result died. Think about it.
